Toys r us - in the Doghouse...

So, my master plan has a flaw. It's called Toys R Us. For some reason their links won't work from my blog (or the original e-mail to family, more to the point...).

Never fear, I will find another supplier and update.

Just not today...

A Very Merry Christmas

Christmas. Don't you love it?

Well, I do, the whole kit and caboodle. But as my two boys grow up, coming up with present ideas is taking more and more time. Not presents for my partner and I to buy them, you understand. No, presents for family members to buy them, that don't get duplicated, that they might actually want, and that won't break into small pieces for me to step on in the dark in my bare feet in the middle of the night. (Lego, you know who you are...)

So, this year I decided that I was going to send an e-mail to all my family members with the lists on. That way they all get to see a variety of present ideas from £4.00 - £20.00, can choose themselves, can even - if they want - click through on a link and buy those things on-line on the spot, and then, most crucially of all, hit 'reply all' to let the other rellies know what they've bought so no-one doubles up.

Like that's going to work.

Well, you never know, it might. Maybe not this year, but with training we can all learn new tricks, so perhaps we'll get it the year after, or even the year after that... I can dream, can't I?

In any case, here's the thing.

Setting this up took time. Not a lot of time, but some. And I thought of all the parents out there who might not have that time. So here it is. My Christmas gift to you.

Below you will find Christmas present lists for my sons that you might be able to use for yours. You can then copy and paste it into your own family e-mail. And if my lists don't work, but you still think that this is a good idea, how about this; send me your Christmas list set up in the same way, and I will post it on this blog for other parents to use on their own family e-mails, and save time themselves.

What do you reckon? Shall we pass it on? If you would like to send your lists to:

Here goes, anyway; let's start with my lists...
